How to make a funeral slideshow, step by step

From an empty order of service to a finished PowerPoint in six clear steps. Building it and viewing a trial version are free; you only pay once the presentation becomes final.

Step 1

Create a free account

You register with your email address or through Google. No credit card and no subscription are needed; an account is enough to get started straight away. If you work for a funeral business, you can store your own logo and a footer in your account, which then appear on the instruction document.

Step 2

Create a new service

A service is one funeral. You enter the name of the person who has died and, as soon as it is known, the date of the funeral. You can prepare several services at the same time and stop and continue later whenever you like; everything is saved.

Step 3

Build the order of service from blocks

This is the heart of the tool. You put the service together the way it really unfolds, using six kinds of block:

  • Entrance: music while guests take their seats, with a calm photo or a series of photos on screen.
  • Speaker: a still image during an address. The presentation waits by itself until the operator clicks.
  • Music: a series of photos set to a piece of music. The tool spreads the time per photo automatically across the length of the song.
  • Live music: a series of photos or a fixed photo with music played live. You set the duration yourself; the photos change along with it and the presentation then continues by itself.
  • Video: a film that starts by itself and moves on to the next moment by itself when it ends.
  • Final farewell: music that repeats for as long as the farewell lasts, however long that is.

You drag the blocks into the order of the service. You do not need to set anything for transitions, timing or click moments: that is fixed per kind of block, so the presentation behaves predictably on the day itself.

Step 4

Add photos, music and video

You upload photos straight from your phone or computer; even iPhone photos (HEIC) are converted automatically. You arrange the order, crop photos where needed and optionally choose a matching background colour or a background image. A fixed memorial photo can recur throughout the whole service: at the entrance, during the speakers and at the final farewell.

You upload music as MP3, M4A or WAV. If you have a song only as a video, you can use that MP4 as music too; the tool extracts the sound.

Step 5

View the free trial version

With one click you make a watermarked trial version. Download it and play it in PowerPoint yourself, so you can see and hear exactly how the service will unfold: the transitions, the timing to the music and the click moments. Adjusting and testing again is unlimited and costs nothing.

Step 6

Make the presentation final

Happy with it? For 1 credit you download the final version without a watermark. You also receive an instruction document (PDF) for the operator or the venue: which moments call for a click, which music plays where and how long it lasts. Until 7 days after the date of the funeral you can keep adjusting the presentation for free and download it again.

When the presentation is ready

After that, everything is taken care of

Even after downloading, the tool takes work off your hands.

Work together

Invite a colleague or family member to follow along or help build the same service.

Share with the venue

Give the funeral hall or crematorium a download link; the presentation and instruction document are ready there.

Adjust right up to the day

Until 7 days after the date of the funeral you can adjust the final version for free and download it again.

Privacy respected

After the funeral, the photos and files are deleted from our servers automatically.
